From one of my childhood favorites, The Fantastic Adventures of Unico (1981-1983). A Japanese animated film that follows a baby unicorn, whom the gods banish due to his special gift of making everyone happy. In his adventures in exile, he makes friends wherever he goes, but ultimately has to leave them, because he is being pursued by the Night Wind. Its both charming and heartbreaking.
